Lubrication Cost Calculator

The Lubrication Cost Calculator is a free spreadsheet that puts real numbers on what a lubrication program is worth in your plant — built so you can run it yourself.

No macros. No external data links. Nothing to enable. It is an ordinary spreadsheet — open it, type in your own figures, read the answer. If your plant blocks macro-bearing files, this one opens clean.

It makes no assumptions of its own

The workbook ships blank on purpose. There are no default savings percentages and no industry benchmarks buried inside it. Every number in every answer is one you put in — which makes the result yours to defend, not a vendor’s estimate to take on faith. That is the opposite of most ROI calculators, and it is deliberate.

What it does

  • Finds the five places a lubrication program pays — in size order, so you work on the big money first.
  • Compares two products over their full lifecycle — counting labor and lost production, not just price per gallon.
  • Prints a one-page summary you can carry into the budget meeting.

No cost, no registration, no form. Run it. If it turns up numbers worth talking through, you know where to find me.

Where it comes from

The calculator is the companion to Appendix D of The Lubrication Standard, the field guide from Environmental & Lubrication Solutions. When the book is out, this page will link to it.
